Lavalock

Knock them into the lava.

Two to ten spellcasters on a shrinking island in a sea of lava. Every hit knocks you back. Last one standing wins the round.

How it plays

Short rounds. Long grudges.

Rounds of one to two minutes on an island that shrinks in steps, a short shop phase in between, first to five round wins.

Rounds, not grinds

A match takes eight to twelve minutes.

The shop

Gold each round. Buy spells, level them 1 to 5, swap slots.

The island shrinks

A ring at a time until a small disc is left. The edge glows before each step.

Cross-play

iPhone, Android, PC and Mac in one match.

Never a dead lobby

Bots fill empty slots, friends join by a six-character code, practice works offline.

Thumb or mouse

Floating joystick, tap a spell, drag to aim, release. Or keyboard, mouse and hotkeys.

The spells

One spell per slot, five levels each

Ten spells at first, under working names, growing toward nineteen.

PrimaryFireballA straight shot. Aim, lead, push them to the edge.
SecondaryLightningInstant line hit. No dodging, only staying out of the line.
SecondaryBoomerangGoes out and comes back. Two chances to hit.
HeavyMeteorA delayed blast on an area. Everyone sees it coming.
HeavySplitterBursts into shards. Bad for a crowd.
ControlGravityPulls everyone nearby inward.
ControlLinkPull a hit target toward you, across the lava if need be.
DefenseShieldA brief bubble that reflects hits.
EscapeTeleportBlink to a point. Lava bath or comeback.
EscapeThrustA short dash that hits whoever is in the way.
